A while ago, Dan Witter, one of the biggest contributors to BandSir.com, wrote me about home movie footage that his dad took. After seeing the positive response from Jeff Christopher’s home movies, I told him I’d be happy to post it.

As usual, time passed and I failed to do so. However, here is Dan’s footage as he describes below with a photo from an alumni gathering.

“I wrote earlier about roughly 10 minutes worth of 8mm silent footage my dad took of the 1970 Band on parade in ‘70 spring with a brief Field Music appearance that spring. The footage shows the Corps as it was in 1970.”

Again, Dan Witter writes:

1.  Gerry Maynard (“real” band captain)
2.  Dan Caughey (valedictorian of college in ‘70)
3.  Dan Witter (“class speaker” for 1970 class graduation and Exec of the Band before Butch gave me a 3rd pip), and
4.  Bob Johnson (Academy (HS) valedictorian.”
