New VFMA Record Album Posted
Good evening!
I just finished editing, restoring and posting the 1962 VFMA Band Album “Parading the Brasses.”
This was a particularly difficult four-hour restoration project because the digital files were recorded from a very scratchy and pop-filled vinyl recording. I’ve done my best to make these tracks listenable, if that’s a word.
Both back and front covers are included on the record’s page along with an embedded player that’ll play the entire album. And as always should you or any of your IMF agents find broken links, or errors in the program material, please email me. I’ll do my best to fix whatever’s wrong right away.
Thanks to Bruce Daggett for the digital files!
One other thing: The little symbol at the top right of the title that looks like a cartoon thought bubble is for your comments. Click on that and you’ll be taken to the comment dialogue for that post or page.
Enjoy the weekend, everyone!

Band, Sir!
Well done, Dan; thank you!

Thank you! I enjoy listening as I’m putting the tracks together.
Thank you for all the hard work! Do you know if there is any way to download some of the songs? I would really love to have the Alma Mater on my computer.
Also, do you happen to have any of the other VF songs?
All the best,
Farkas ’13
Yes, they download just fine.
All you have to do it RIGHT CLICK on the track title and select SAVE LINK AS… or SAVE TARGET AS.. The exact words depend on the browser you’re using, but the idea is the same. Do it for each track and you’ll be all set!
