New Page Added – VFMA Drum Cadences

Band Sir! Posted on August 16, 2019 by Dan WolfeAugust 16, 2019

Many thanks to my first old man roommate, David Rodgers, ’72 and Tim Long, ’71 JC, for preserving the memory of these two drum cadences.

New Concert Added!

Band Sir! Posted on October 7, 2018 by Dan WolfeAugust 17, 2019

I saw Bill Kear’s post on Facebook about the U.S. Marine band playing “Overture to Colas Breugnon.”  I thought I’d link to the VFMA version on this website, and lo and behold, it’s NOT posted here even though the files are digitized.  Shame on me!

So here you go!  I don’t know the names of all the cuts, and I don’t think I’ve processed these, so they may be a tad rough.  I’ll come back to these and others and make sure they’re as good as I can make ’em.

Enjoy!

We’ve Moved!

Band Sir! Posted on August 17, 2018 by Dan WolfeAugust 17, 2018

The server has moved and is back online.  The internet service provider does not provide the same level of service, so you may notice that the site is a bit less responsive than you’re used to.  This will not change – it’s a technological limitation.  Most of you won’t notice much of a change.

Thanks for your patience!

BandSir Moving Soon!

Band Sir! Posted on August 13, 2018 by Dan WolfeAugust 13, 2018

Upon the occasion of my second retirement, BandSir.com and I will be moving back to Ohio.  While this transition won’t happen immediately, over the next few weeks, you’ll probably see the site go up and down, you may have some “site not found” errors, or it may work perfectly except for the hours it’ll take me to move the server.  In any case, I’ll try to give you advanced notice.

Once I’m finally resettled, likely sometime near Christmas, I’ll have more free time to update this lonely site that’s lacked the attention it deserves.

Thanks for your patience!

Sorry for the Down Time These Last Couple Days

Band Sir! Posted on October 21, 2017 by Dan WolfeOctober 21, 2017

Folks,

The site is back up reliably now after a dreaded Windows 10 update broke a couple of things.  It’s working fine again.  Apologies for any inconvenience.

More later!

Dan
