1970 Early Spring Concert Posted

Band Sir! Posted on April 15, 2020 by Dan WolfeApril 19, 2020

Many thanks to Dan Witter for providing the digital files for the 1970 Early Spring Concert. He brought quite a few programs to the table and while it’s taken me far too long to get them posted, I think, Dan, that I have all of your submissions online now. Please join me in thanking Dan for all of his hard work. Click on the link above to listen.

Stay Safe, Everyone

Band Sir! Posted on April 8, 2020 by Dan WolfeApril 8, 2020

I’ve never used this site for any kind of public service announcement, but these are indeed difficult times.

First and foremost, nearly everyone reading this post is in the high-risk group if only because of the dates of our births. Many of us have health issues, some minor, others not so minor. Bottom line: this pandemic has the potential to take a lot of us if we’re not careful.

I urge you to abide by the guidelines put out by the CDC. While we can’t yet quantify it, social distancing seems to be doing some good. So please do your part. Do the right thing even if you think it’s a crock. Lives depend on us doing our best.

But the real reason I am making this post is to wish all of you and yours a safe, land-mine/free journey to the other side of this pandemic. It’s always hard enough when The Forge announces Taps for our fellow alumni. Please don’t let it be one of you.

Be safe out there.

Dan Wolfe, 74 & 76JC

New Program – 1991 VFMA Tattoo

Band Sir! Posted on March 21, 2020 by Dan WolfeAugust 23, 2022

Many thanks to Dr. Rick Forno, ’90 & ’92C, not a Bandie, but a great supporter of the Band for as long as I can remember. He provided this long video of a 1991 Thanksgiving Tattoo. Click here or on the graphic to go to the full description of this event!
